Target audience
Employees who move around on company premises, in installations, workshops, warehouses,... and perform work at height using a self-propelled aerial work platform (articulated or telescopic).
Eligibility requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age.

Not afraid of heights.
-
Have a certificate of medical fitness
-
Only for very experienced persons.
Program
The training takes 0.5 days

The exam theory lasts 20 minutes (maximum 30 minutes)

The exam practice lasts about 30 minutes

Theory

Be able to explain what an aerial work platform is.

To be able to name the activities for which an aerial work platform can be used.

Identify the different types of aerial work platforms and their limitations.

Being able to name the different lifting and boom systems.

To be able to name the different types of drive and their applications.

To be able to name the different control modes.

To be able to correctly interpret the basic regulations concerning the use of an aerial work platform.

To interpret the safety regulations correctly.

Be able to name the environmental hazards and the relevant safety measures.

Be able to explain the impact and hazards of side loads.

To know how to carry out a Last Minute Risk Analysis (LMRA) correctly.

Be able to correctly define the concepts related to the control devices.

To be able to name the constituent parts of the work platform.

Explain the meaning of the pictograms on an AWP.

To be able to explain the structure of the lifting elements and the sequence of operation.

To be able to explain the concepts related to stability.

To name the elements of the starting control.

Practice
-
Carry out the start-up check.
-
Raising the AWP to maximum height and moving it a few meters.
-
Drive forwards and backwards in a narrow passage.
-
Performing forward and reverse slalom.
-
Positioning the AWP at an angle to a vertical object (e.g. on scaffolding, on a wall) and approaching the object.
-
Approach object in height (e.g. on roof, rack or scaffold) behind an upright obstruction.
-
Park the AWP safely and charge or refuel the traction battery.
